to ensure steady spiritual growth:
- Start using the little talent you have. Before you know
it, it would develop into a great, powerful skill. Practice makes perfect.
Gideon was a very good example. He requested for more power. But, the
Angel speaking to him told him to use the power he already has.
Then the Lord turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and
you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites.
Have I not sent you?" Judges 6:14
- Many spend the time fasting and praying, because they
want spiritual powers for vision, prophecy, healing, anointing, etc.
Others spend days on the mountain tops, at the riversides or in the
monasteries. The right thing they should do is to start using the little
abilities they have in rendering service to God and humanity. And the
abilities shall blossom, flourish. We develop,
not by waiting, but by doing.
